New Year New Blog

I've made many changes this year. The latest one is this new blog. Committed to stick with my journey to finding my healthy self.  So November 1, 2017 I hopped up on the scale and about passed out. Two Hundred- Eightyfive pounds. I couldn't  believe it. In fact just a few months before I was down to 268. Truth is my weight has been up and down (mostly up) for years. Especially these past 12 years. On January 2, 2017 I met with my doctor  and told her I wanted to make a change, a real lasting change. I was ready for something drastic. I was ready for weight loss surgery(insert gasp here). Only my doc. didn't  gasp... she didn't  say "you don't  need that, you aren't  too heavy" She actually said, "I think that will be great for you (fatso!!!)(okay she didn't say fatso, I did because I say some pretty ugly stuff to myself) So it began...my journey. I'll talk more about what the year of waiting was like (obviously not sunshine and rainbows hence than November weigh in). I had a vertical sleeve gastrectromy  or Gastric Sleeve on December 6, 2017 and I am so glad I did. I haven't  weighed since last week on Thursday and then I was down to 242.2 pounds.  That's over 45 pounds since November 1. or 23 pounds since surgery day.  I will keep  you up to date on that too. Life right now is all about balance and drinking enough water. I love everything about the way I'm  starting 2018. By the grace of God I will make it this year to my goal of healthy. Can't wait to tell you more about it.
